Shimla, Nov 20 (UNI) Three Himachal Pradesh BJP ministers charged the previous Congress regime with irregularities in jobs and said ineligible persons were recruited from a particular area.

In a joint statement here yesterday, Forest Minister J P Nadda, IPH Minister Ravinder Singh Ravi and Health Minister Rajiv Bindal said during the rule of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh 2,912 persons were given jobs on chits.

They alleged that during recruitment in the police department in 1997, physically inelibile persons were recruited from a particular area.

They said PTA teachers were recruited by flouting all norms and putting the career of hundreds of able and eligible candidates at stake.

These leaders alleged that nepotism and favouratism was prevalent during the previous regime in the state.
