Chennai, Nov 20: In a shocking incident of horror former chief of State-owned Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited (TAMIN), his wife and domestic help was found murdered and their home ransacked in Chennai. S Saravanan, 74, former chairman and managing director of Tamil Nadu Minerals, his 73-year-old wife Kasturi and Anbarasi their 17-year-old domestic help were found murdered in their suburban home in Ashok Nagar on Thursday, Nov 20.
Initial reports suggest that several gold and diamond ornaments are missing from the house. Police are probing the angle of murder-for-gain and other motives as Saravanan was a rich man and had no heirs.
K Radhakrishnan, Chennai Police Commissioner in a press conference said that the couple returned home at around 11 pm in the night on Wednesday, Nov 19 after attending a party. On Thursday, Nov 20 morning, when one of their friends came to their house, he found that the gate was open and the three were found murdered. He informed the police at around 6 am and since then the police is trying to collect evidences. He added that the police has some clues as they have gathered finger prints, foot prints and other evidences.
