RBD palm oil rises; Groundnut, oil, nigerseed ease

Mumbai, Nov 20 (UNI) Prices of RBD palm oil rose today on better buying support, while groundnut, oil and nigerseed eased on sluggish demand by bulk consumers, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), groundnut and nigerseed fell by Rs 50 per quintal, each on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists.

Javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 also slid by Rs 75 and Rs 85 per per quintal respectively, on lack of fresh demand.

In oils (per ten kg), RBD palm oil and sunflower exp further improved by Rs 2 per ten kg each on improved demand, while groundnut oil and cottonseed (refined) went down by Rs 10 and Rs 5 per ten kg respectively, on poor offtake by stockists.

Barring undec cottonseed, all de-oiled cakes remained unchanged.

Undec cottonseed slipped by Rs 100 per metric tonne, traders added.
