Ramoowalia not averse to poll alliance with Cong
Fatehgarh Sahib, Nov 20 (UNI) Lok Bhalai Party president and former Union Minister Balwant Singh Ramoowalia today agreed to support the Congress in the Lok Sabha polls, provided the Sangrur seat was left for his party.
''I will extend support to the Congress on 12 of the 13 seats,'' he said while talking to mediapersons here while pointing out that he would be contesting the Sangrur seat.
He said his party was ready to defeat SAD-BJP candidates on all the 13 seats in the Parliament elections and for this he was not averse to an alliance with the Congress.
Mr Ramoowalia's remarks come in the wake of the Congress plans to seek poll alliances with lesser known parties, like the Lok Bhalai Party and the Bahujan Samaj Morcha of Satnam Kainth as there is no possibility of an alliance with the Left parties or the BSP.
