Punjab Cong to launch mass contact programme
Chandigarh, Nov 20 (UNI) The Punjab Congress will launch a mass contact programme on November 22 from Amritsar to bring the party leaders closer to the party workers at the grass roots level.
The campaign covering each district will culminate at Faridkot on December 17.
The public meetings to be organised at these programmes will be attended by state Congress chief Mohinder Singh Kaypee, Leader of the Opposition Rajinder Kaur Bhattal and former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who is Chairman of the state Campaign Committee of the party.
According to Congress general secretary Raj Pal Singh the District Presidents have been directed to request MPs/Ex M.P's, MLA's/Ex MLA's and other senior party leaders including office bearers, Pradesh Congress members and AICC members to attend these meetings in their respective districts.
