Pak govt asks Mohmand Agency tribesmen to expel militants or vacate the area

Ghalanai (Pakistan), Nov 20 : The Pakistan is learnt to have asked the tribesmen in Mohmand Agency to either oust the Taliban, else leave the area.

According to the Daily Times, Pakistani aircraft dropped pamphlets in various areas of Safi tehsil falling under in Mohmand Agency on Wednesday urging the tribesmen to expel the Taliban from the area.

The pamphlets added that if the tribesmen were unable to drive the Taliban out, they should themselves leave the area, added the paper.

The pamphlets asked people to co-operate with the government.

Meanwhile, security forces are advancing towards Pindyali tehsil to set up three checkposts in Targhakhi area, with the view of preventing the Taliban from attacking the security forces from that side of the agency and would also make the Ghalanai-Yaka Ghund route safe.
