Naxals murder one of their own man in Maharashtra
Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, Nov 20: Naxalites killed one of their own man for trying to quit the movement in Gadchiroli district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
According to police, a group of 20 to 25 armed naxalites stormed into the house of Mirwa Katiya Hedo (25) in village Mohandi on Tuesday night. They dragged him out and killed him with a sharp weapon, police said.
Mirwa had been active in parts of Chhattisgarh, but had eloped with a girl from his 'Dalam' about a month ago, police said. He had been staying in the village since, and was trying to lead a normal life, they said.
Mirwa had been involved in the murder of two youths in a village in Chhattisgarh last year, they added.
