Mayawati rally in Delhi on schedule
Lucknow, Nov 20 (UNI) Blaming the Congress for creating confusion about cancellation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's election rally in Delhi, Bahujan Samaj Party today made it clear that her rally would be held as per schedule in Trilokpuri, Delhi on November 23.
Denying all reports in this regard that the rally had been cancelled by Delhi government, BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra told reporters that Ms Mayawati would address the rally on November 23 followed by campaign on November 24 and 26.
He said that the opposition parties, mainly the Congress were frustrated over the lead of BSP in the Delhi assembly elections and hence were spreading such confusion among the public. It was Congress-led rumour mongering about cancellation of rally, he said.
BSP president Mayawati will hold the rally in Delhi as scheduled earlier and the permission for the same has already been obtained, Mr Mishra said.
