Major fire at Podar Mill's godown in Mumbai
Mumbai, Nov 20: A major fire broke out at a Podar Mill's godown near N M Joshi marg, Lower Parel in southcentral Mumbai, on Wednesday, Nov 19 night.
The incident occurred at a cotton thread godown of the Mill, following a short circuit, at around 2300 hours yesterday, fire brigade sources said on Thursday, Nov 20
At least 23 fire engines and five water tankers were deployed to extinguish the fire, which was brought under control at around 0445 hours, the sources said.
No casualty has been reported so far and the estimate of damages is yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
