Madurai: Police preaches public on alcohol
Madurai, Nov 20: Madurai Police conducted an awareness campaign on 'ill-effects of alcohol' and 'drinking and driving'. Speaking at the meet, Commissioner of Police K Nandabalan said drunken driving may not only end up in fatal accidents but also leave the dependents (family members) in the lurch.
Campaigns with the assistance of social workers would also help in bringing addicts out of the habit, he suggested.
