Inflation falls to 8.9 pc from 8.98 pc
New Delhi, Nov 20: Inflation for the week ended Saturday, Nov 8 fell to 8.9 per cent from 8.98 per cent a week earlier, led by a decline in fuel prices. The fuel group index for the week ended November 8 fell 0.9 per cent on a week-on-week basis.
The diesel prices fell 11 per cent while furnace oil was down 9 per cent. ATF prices fell 5 per cent. The Wholesale Price Index for all commodities down was down 0.2 per cent. Inflation for the week ended Thursday, Sep 13 was revised to 12.42 per cent vs 12.14 per cent earlier. The annual inflation rate was 3.20 percent during the corresponding week of the previous year.
