Hundi collection increases at Chamundi Hills
Mysore, Nov 20(UNI) A record Hundi collection of Rs 6,33,99,526 was reported during 2007-08 at Chamundeswari temple, atop of the Chamundi Hills, due to increase in number of devotees.
Temple CEO Shivalinge Gowda told newsmen that the collection during 2006-07 was Rs 4,56,64,252.
In spite of economic downfall and hike in gold rates, 678 grams of gold, 1.94 kgs of silver articles and cash Rs 1,07,83,055 have been collected from the temple golaka.
