HP signs MoU with NABARD, HPSCARDB to strengthen Agri Banks

Shimla, Nov 20 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Argriculture Rural Development Bank (HPSCARDB) to strengthen State Co-operative Agricuture Banks working in the state.

The MoU for Development Action Plan was signed by Himachal Pradesh Principal Secretary (Cooperation) Munisha Shridhar, NABARD Chief General Manager ST Raghuraman and HPSCARDB MD HR Chuhan.

Mr Raghuraman said that the objective of this agreement, which would come into effect by 2011-12, is to ensure sustainablity, viability and operational efficiency of HPSCARDB.

The agreement also focuses on improving various key financial parameters such as faster growth in business level, reduction of NPAs and improving recovery performance, good governance, imparting systematic training for improved productivity of the staff.
