Fire rages in Union Bank

Howrah, Nov 20(UNI) A devastating fire engulfed the Howrah Maidan branch of Union Bank of India here at around 1800 hours.

Three fire engines were pressed into service to douse the flames.

''The fire erupted owing to a problem in the generator room,'' bank sources informed the media.

However, no loss in cash has been reported, though some official documents were burnt.
