British Chevening Scholarship applications open
Coimbatore, Nov 20: The British Chevening Scholarship Programme 2009 is now open for applications till Dec 31, 2008. It is the UK Government's flagship scholarship scheme, aimed at future leaders, opinion formers and decision makers. Applications are invited from talented Indians for the two variants. One is the "Long-term (Open) Scholarship" to undertake a one-year master's study at leading universities in the UK, and the other is the "Chevening Gurukul Scholarship for Leadership and Excellence" for working professionals.
The Gurukul Scholarship for Leadership and Excellence is designed for working professionals who have substantial experience in their professional field and are looking for a short-term professional training to expand and consolidate their experience. Twelve exceptional candidates from India will be selected for this programme.
It is a unique 12-week, advanced leadership programme, created by the renowned London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) specifically for India's future leaders.
