Blue Dart, DHL set up integrated air side facility at BIA
Bangalore, Nov 20 (UNI) Global air express major DHL Express and Blue Dart today inaugurated an integral terminal at Bengaluru International Airport to synergise the domestic and international express operations in Southern India.
With an investment of USD 25 million, this 2.2 lakh sq ft facility is expected to provide faster clearance and seamless handling of in-bound and out-bound international and domestic shipments of the two companies.
Speaking to reporters Malcolm Manterio, Senior VP and Director-South Asia of DHL Express said the combined facility would handle both domestic and international express operations at BIA and help the two companies to reduce throughput handling time.
He said DHL would be building similar facilities in Hyderabad and Delhi soon.
