Block Committees set up to curb child labour in Gurgaon
Chandigarh, Nov 20 (UNI) In order to abolish child labour in Gurgaon district, the district administration has set up block-level committees to take prompt action as soon as any complaint was received.
The committee would conduct raids and thorough inspection of the premises against whom complaints were received, an official spokesperson said.
They have been asked to submit their fortnightly checking report by 16th of every month to the Deputy Commissioner's office.
The administration has constituted four such committees for each block namely Gurgaon, Sohna, Pataudi and Farrukhnagar.
Each committee consists of five officers.
