Approvals granted to development projects around Mohali

Chandigarh, Nov 20 (UNI) Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GAMADA) would construct a 4-lane road from PGI in Chandigarh to Siswan T-junction within the jurisdiction of Punjab territory.

This decision was taken in the fourth meeting of GAMADA held here yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

The Authority also gave its approval for the 'mixed land use policy'. The meeting also approved the construction of the road from Kharar to Mohali.

The Authority also approved the land acquisition for the construction of road connecting Knowledge City in Sector 81, Mohali with Kharar-Banur highway.

In another significant decision the Authority also approved to allot permanent booths to the shopkeepers of the unauthorized Khoka Market of phase 3B-1 at the old rates.

Prominent amongst others who attended the meeting included Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, Chief Secretary R I Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister D S Guru, Principal Secretary Finance S C Aggarwal, Secretary Housing and Urban Development Arun Goel, Chief Administrative PUDA V P Singh, MD Punjab State Infrastructure Development Board Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Chief Town Planner Rajinder Gupta.
