4 of family stabbed to death, two injured

Bilaspur, Nov 20 (UNI) Four members of family were today stabbed to death and two injured over old enmity at Chamari village, 14 km from Mungeli tahsil, in this district, police said.

Hari Rai and his two sons, who were undergoing sentence in connection with infamous Lov Singh murder, were released on parole a few days back.

The trio attacked the house of Lain Das (80) and killed him, Yashoda Bai (40), Raju Satnami (55) and Vidyacharan (35) and chopped their hands and legs.

The accused chopped the hands of Umendra Satnami (55) and seriously injured his sister Manish (20). Later, the culprits set the house on fire.

The whole village was vacated after the incident. The injured were admitted to hospital after the incident.

Hari Rai surrendered before police after the incident, while his two sons were absconding. Both attackers and victim belong to the same community.
