We need 50 girls for women's wing: Maoists notice

Patna, Nov 19: Panic spread among students and authorities of a school in Patna on Tuesday, Nov 18 after seeing a poster put up by Maoists seeking 50 girls for their women's wing. A notice which was pasted in the premises of the Kasturba Gandhi Girls school in Banka district says, "We need 50 girls for the party. If there are none, then you will have to close the school. And if you do not do so, the result won't be good. Close the school for a month, otherwise be warned that many girls would be killed."

When enquired, Police officials said that it is a hoax and the handiwork of some local anti-social elements. But the students and teachers are worried about the possible attacks by rebels. Investigation is on after the incident was reported to the Education Department.
