I'm grateful to Pakistan for not interfering in J-K's election process: Farooq Abdullah

Jammu, Nov 19 : National Conference patron and it's chief ministerial candidate Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Pakistan for not interfering in the peaceful process of elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

He expressed his happiness over the turnout of the voters in the first phase of elections in the state.

"I have no hesitation to express gratitude to Pakistan and militant groups like Hizbul Mujahideen for not interfering in the peaceful process of elections and allowing people to exercise their democratic right as per their own wish," Abdullah added.

"Separatists' agenda is final solution of Jammu and Kashmir, their agenda is not good governance that is National Conference's agenda," he added.

"My party has a dream of stable Kashmir and we will not leave any stone unturned to ensure peaceful and dignified solution of the issue," he said adding, "We all have to sit together and find available solution, which will bring peace. If we will come to power we will start Round Table Conference and try to facilitate talks between the center and all of them so that we come to a place where there is available solution which can give peace to over state and India and Pakistan," Abdullah hoped.

However, he said that his party is also focusing on the day today sufferings of the common masses and has comprehensive plans for addressing the same. He said if voted to power my party will form a government, which will work the welfare and overall development of the state and its people.
