Raipur, Nov 19(UNI) Expressing confidence in retaining power, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, today said that Congress has no issue in the elections and just trying to divert the attention of the people from inflation and price hike of essential commodities by raking up corruption in the state.

'' I do not want to be compared myself with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi but I want to work for the people of Chhattisgarh like Mr Modi, if voted back to power for the second time.'', Dr Singh told while addressing a press conference here.

Dr Singh, said during the last five years all Uinted Progressive Allinace ministers had publicily announced that they were satisfied with the utilisation of central funds for developmental programmes.

'' But now the Congress leaders are saying that Rs 8,000 crore have been misutilised by the BJP government, which proves that they don't have any issues to go before the people'', he said.

Hoping that Bharatiya Janata Party would get more seats than it got in the previous elections , the Cheif Minister said people had supported the government on development and rejected the false publicity of the Congress over corruption.'' Why the Congress did not raise the issue of roads, power, drinking water and even infrastructure during the campaigning'', he questioned.

Launching tirade on former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi by terming him ' Labra Raja' (King of speaking untruth), Dr Singh said ''People know better of who is speaking the truth. Why after announcing that he would contest against me from anywhere he backtracked in the last moment'', he questioned.
