After Lucknow, countrymade bomb explodes in Sultanpur court

Sultanpur, Nov 19 (UNI) After three consecutive blasts -- of which two ripped the lower court premises -- in Lucknow recently, a low intensity bomb exploded in the district court premises here today leaving the people panicky.

According to police, the bomb explosion occurred in a room, just in front of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Umesh Prakash's chamber, where some electricity equipments were kept.

No person has sustained wound in the explosion, Superintendent of Police (SP) D C Mishra said, further terming it a 'mischievous act.' Anti-bomb disposal squad and senior police and administrative officals have rushed to the spot.

A mob of advocates however, gave vent to their anger later, when police termed it a minor explosion.

A similar low intensity countrymade bombs had exploded in succession in Lucknow on November 14, 15 and 16 last.

On November 14 and 15, explosions had occurred in the lower court premises, while the next day the country made bomb had exploded in Aishbagh area of the state capital.

Two minor rag picker girls had sustained injuries in the third blast.
