20 candidates withdraw from fray in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Nov 19 (UNI) As mnay as 20 candidates have withdrawn from the fray in 13 constituencies for the December 4 Assembly polls in Rajasthan.

Tourism Minister Devi Singh Bhati's dauther-in-law Poonam Kanwar, who had filed as his covering candidate in Kolayat constituency in Bikaner district, today withdrew her nomination.

One more Independent candidate also withdrew from the contest in Kolayat.

Besides this, seven Independents withdrew from the Chomu Assembly segment in Jaipur district.

Withdrawals can be made till 1500 hrs tomorrow, an election office spokesman said.
