Three smugglers held, cattle seized by BSF
Shillong, Nov 18 (UNI) Three smugglers were arrested by the Border Security force (BSF) from different locations along the Bangladesh border and cattle worth Rs 2,40,000 was seized from their possession.
BSF sources here yesterday said the smuggler was trying to smuggle the cattle into Bangladesh from Assam-Bangladesh border when they were arrested on November 16.
The BSF has intensified vigil and anti-smuggling drive in the riverine area of the Brahmaputra. As a result huge quantity of cattle along with smugglers and anti social elements are regularly being intercepted, the sources said.
