Guwahati, Nov 18 (UNI) Assam's Congress government today accused the BJP of introducing ''Hindu terrorism'', citing instances of its associate Sangh Parivar's involvement in Babri Masjid demolition and attacks on minorities in Orissa and Gujarat.
'' The BJP and its Sangh Parivar have started Hindu terrorism in the country. They have always been creating tension by trying to divide people along communal lines, '' state government spokesperson and Cabinet Minister Pardyut Bordoloi said here.
Reacting to BJP national spokesperson Prakash Jawdekar's allegations on militant nexus with Assam Ministers, Mr Bordoloi said, '' These are totally baseless allegations and we dare the BJP to prove at least one charge. '' The BJP spokesperson yesterday alleged that four Ministers of the state - Dr Bhumidhar Barman, Pramila Rani Brahma, Bharat Narah and Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma - were having nexus with militants and even being involved with blasts.
Dismissing the charges, Mr Bordoloi said, '' Violence and hatred are the two-point unwritten agenda of the BJP and that's what they are aiming at.
'' Now with the Malegaon blast revelations, the BJP has been frightened that their nexus with violence will be exposed further, '' he alleged.
