Traffic disrupted for long hour in the evening on JD(S) meet
Bangalore, Nov 17 (UNI) City commuters were put to lot of inconvenience as traffic in major parts of the city went haywire in the wake of a mammoth convention held by Janata Dal(S) in the city today.
Vehicles plying at all major arteries were stranded for hours while police remained clue less how to ease the congestion in the roads, leaving commuters to curse the organisers of the political convention.
The home-bound state and central government employees felt the heat more as snail paced traffic movement resulted in they reach home late in the night.
The JD(S) which had organised the workers meeting at Palace ground had mobilised as many as over two lakh party loyalists who had came from all parts of the state on vehicles.
They came to witness former Karantaka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy assumed as new State JD(S) president.
Large number foreign nationals including corporate biggies were seen spent long time in the state-run 'Vayu Vajra' bus service on their-way or back to the city from Bengaluru International Airport.
