Three militants shot dead in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 17 (UNI) Altogether three militants were shot dead by the troops at Kanalok river in Ukhrul district today.

Police said, Assam Rifles had launched operation in the area and were observing movements of unidentified armed militants.

When challenged they tried to run away and resorted to firing but were killed on the spot by the troops.

Two AK 56, one M 22, 206 live rounds, four magazine and four fired cases were recovered from the spot, police added.
