Lucknow, Nov 17: The family members of slain CEO Sid Agarwal were sore about the fact that they could not attend his last rites in the absence of US visa.

''The cremation of Sid Agarwal would take place on Monday, Nov 17 in San Francisco, North California after his body was handed over to the family,''said Pawan Agarwal, brother of the deceased. Agarwal was shot dead by a laid-off engineer Jing Hua Wu on Friday, Nov 14. Pawan, resident of Sitapur, about 80 km from state capital, said it was an irreparable loss but more distressing was not being able to attend his funeral in the US. It was not easy to get his body in India and since immediate family members were alredy there, the last rites would take place in the US, he said.

Agarwal (57) would be cremated in the US, in the presence of his wife Asha Agarwal and two sons aged 22 years and 18 years. ''Ours being a close knit family with strong family bonding, such compulsion is just too agonising,'' an emotional Pawan Agarwal told UNI over phone from Sitapur.

Sid had done his schooling from Sitapur before graduating from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He was first offered a job in company 'Intel' and had a distinction of inventing a new chip for dish TVs. He entered into his own business about a decade ago and had a flourishing business till the economic recession affected him as well, according to his brother.

The killer of Agarwal, meanwhile had been apprehended in the US.
