Precious metals end high
Mumbai, Nov 17 (UNI) Both the precious metals moved up today with price of Silver increasing by Rs 40 per kg to close at Rs 16,875 and Gold by a nominal Rs 10 per ten gm to end at Rs 11,960 on sustained demand by jewellery makers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Silver resumed on a positive note at Rs 16,850 per kg.
Later, it rose by Rs 40 per kg to end at Rs 16,875 from its previous close, on good demand by local dealers.
Standard and pure gold opened low at Rs 11,910 and Rs 11,970 per ten gm respectively, on sluggish demand by jewellery makers.
Finally, standard and pure gold closed at Rs 11,960 and Rs 12,020, inched up by Rs 10 per ten gm each, on renewed demand by ornament makers.
In London markets, Gold was quoted high at USD 743.004.00 (730.002.00) per troy ounce and Silver at USD 09.55.56 (09.44.45) per troy ounce respectively.
