First batch of Haj pilgrims depart from Mumbai
Mumbai, Nov 17 (UNI) The first batch of Haj pilgrims were given a warm send-off by Maharashtra Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Anees Ahmed, at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport here today.
The flight, carrying 60 pilgrims from Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Konkan and 240 from Madhya Pradesh, took off at 1430 hrs this afternoon.
The Minister also had discussions with officials of the Airport Authority of India, CISF, Haj Committee and Air India and expressed satisfaction at the arrangements made for the pilgrims.
