Antony releases Defence Ministry's new Security Manual

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony today released the in-house 'Manual of Security Instructions 2008 (MSI 2008)' at his South Block office today.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Antony underlined the security drill to tackle emerging threats and unpredictable risks and lauded the Security Wing of the Defence Ministry in compiling the security instructions.

He also called upon the security guards and officers to adhere to the manual in letter and spirit.

The updated manual, a comprehensive compilation of security instructions to keep pace with the changing security environment, will help ensure a safer and more secure environment, he added.
