Two students killed in road accident

Kohima, Nov 16 (UNI) Two students were killed and three others injured when their car met with an accident on National Highway 39 near Gautam Basti under Khatkhati Police Station of Karbi Anglong district of Assam last night.

Official sources here today said five boys, all of them students of Patkai Christian College near Dimapur, were coming towards Dimapur from Assam side, when the mishap occurred between Lahorijan and Khatkhati, killing two boys on the spot and seriously injuring three others. The ill-fated car was completely smashed in the accident.

All the injured were rushed to Bokajan Civil Hospital in Assam, but later evacuated to Dimapur Civil Hospital.

Khatkhati police registered a case and investigation was on to ascertain the cause of the accident.
