Training for micro-observers in MP
Bhopal, Nov 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) J S Mathur today said that special training would be imparted to micro-observers on November 20.
Mr Mathur told reporters here that the micro-observers, who are being engaged for the first time in the assembly polls, would be deputed on polling day -- November 27.
To a query, he said, ''micro-observers will be deputed as per requirement and the districts' administration will decide on this issue in a couple of days after earmarking critical booths.'' Talking about mock polls on polling day, the CEO said that the presence of political parties' agents had been made mandatory this time round and reports of arrangements in polling booths would be prepared by sector magistrates who would submit reports to district returning officers.
Mr Mathur said that a strict vigil would be maintained on use of candidates' vehicles during electioneering and round-the-clock videography would be done to monitor the situation.
