One killed, 3 labourers injured in iron melting unit

Fatehgarh Sahib, Nov 16 (UNI) One person was killed while three others were injured in a furnace unit at Mandi Gobindgarh this evening.

According to police sources the incident took place at JS Khalsa Private Limited, which left furnace labourer, Bhola Shah (25) dead and injured his fellow workers Mukesh, Lal Dev Thakur and Suresh.

The injured have been admitted to civil hospital while the body of the deceased has been sent for post mortem.

Bhola Shah was resident of Mujjafarnager in UP. The injured are also migrant labourers.

Police officials said that the melted iron spilled out of the furnace and onto the factory labourers, killing Bhola Shah and injuring his fellow workers.

Police officials inspected the accident site and will register a case after investigations.
