One dead, four injured in clash in Haryana village

Hisar, Nov 16 (UNI) One person was killed and four others were injured following a clash between two groups belonging to different communities in Sheikhpura village near Hansi in the district today.

According to police sources, the clash took place over the possession of a piece of land in the village. In the clash both sides used firearms in which one person was killed on the spot while four others, including a woman sustained injuries.

The deaceased was identified as Shamsher, while the injured were identified as Ram Avtar, Rakesh, Lalita Saini and Praveen Kumar. The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Hansi and Hisar.

Sources said that a police contingent has been deployed in the village to restore law and order. The police has registered a case after taking the statements of both sides. However no arrests had been made so far and the matter was still under investigation.
