NMMS and NTS exam conducted at 238 centres in AP

Hyderabad, Nov 16 (UNI) The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination and National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) November 2008 were conducted today at 238 centres in Andhra Pradesh A release here said 19,431 candidates appeared for the NMMS examination while 13,183 candidates appeared for the NTSE edxamination.

District wise beneficiaries list of NMMS would be finalised in December this year in which scholarship of Rs 6,000 per annuam would be given to the selected candiate upto XII standard.

This year 6,986 candidates would be selected through this examination as beneficiaries in the State.

285 candidates would be selected from the state for the second level examination of NTSE to be conducted by NCERT in the month of May 2009.

Hall tickets for the exam would be issued directly to the candidates with a copy to the schools concerned fixing the venue of examination centre at the State Headquarter here.
