Masters of art rule Osians preview exhibition

Mumbai, Nov 16 (UNI) Works of Art veterans like M F Hussain, Hemendranath Mazumber, P C Sagara, J Sultan Ali and Shobha Broota graced the preview exhibition, held by Osian's Connoisseurs of Art in the metropolis.

The ''Indian Modern&Contemporary Art and Craft'' collections in in 159 lots also focused on fine crafts by Jamini Roy, Sultan Ali, K Laxma Goud and K G Subramanyan.

A collection of rare impasto painting by M F Hussain (1970), 'Village Scene' by N S Bendre (1974) and 'The Pond' by Bikash Bhattacharjee (1955) under the 'Camilin Collection' left the critics spellbound.

Osian will hold the auction on November 27 and has estimated the Lowest price of the collection at approximately Rs 31 crore.
