Man held for murdering uncle, family
Thane, Nov 16 (UNI) Police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his uncle and family in Nallasopara here on November 11.
The accused - Ashok Kanojia (26), a resident of Uttar Pradesh, had allegedly murdered his uncle Kallu Kanojia, his wife Phulvati (40) and their two daughters -- the nine-year-old Nisha and eight-year-old Soni, over repayment of Rs 30,000, that Kallu had borrowed from him four years back, District Rural Superintendent of Police Naval Bajaj told newsmen yesterday.
Mr Bajaj said Ashok, who was nabbed from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh on November 14, had revealed that he was turned down by Kallu on several occasions when he approached for the sum. On November 11, however, the argument ended in killing of the family, he said.
