Kerala to take up demand for CBI probe into Marad carnage
Kannur, Nov 16 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today said the state government would press the Centre for a fresh CBI probe into the Marad carnage.
Releasing a book here, he said though the state had taken up the demand thrice in the past, the Centre did not heed to its request.
Stating that the state government proposed to take up the demand again, he asked the Congress leadership in the state and at the Centre to make clear who scuttled the demand for a CBI probe.
The Marad Commission had recommended for a CBI probe, but it was rejected by the Centre, he alleged.
