DMDK women's wing fast

Puducherry, Nov 16 (UNI) The women's wing of actor-turned politician Vijaykant's DMDK party today staged a demonstration in front of the head post office here to condemn the killings of innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka by the army.

The agitation was also to press the Centre to intervenue and find an amicable settlement to the ethnic problem in the island nation and save the lives of Tamils.

''Kamal Hassan Narppani Mandram'', actor Kamal Hassan's fan clubs, also observed a fast near the bus stand to press the same demands in solidarity with Lankan Tamils.
