Cleric killed, 11 injured in Jammu accident
Jammu, Nov 16 (UNI) An Imam of a mosque in bordering Poonch district was killed and 11 others injured in a road accident in Manjakote area of Rajouri early today, official sources said.
A light motor vehicle carrying 11 passengers, heading towards Poonch from Jammu, skidded off the road at Deri Lalyote in Majakote at about 0230 hrs, sources said.
The deceased was identified as Haji Mohammad Yaqoob, Imam of the mosque, who died on the spot.
Two critically injured, including the driver, were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu while nine others were admitted to nearby hospital.
