BJP seeks vote for 'term 2' in MP
Bhopal, Nov 16 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today sought votes for a second successive term for its Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh.
''Madhya Pradesh ki awaaz, phir bhajapa, phir Shivraj,'' is the BJP slogan for the hustings, according to BJP state President Narendra Singh Tomar.
''It will be our endeavour to ensure uninterrupted development,'' he said while party Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu released the manifesto.
All 230 constituencies in the state go to the polls on November 27. The BJP has candidates in 228 constituencies after leaving a seat for its National Democratic Alliance ally Janata Dal (United).
The nomination papers of a BJP nominee were rejected in the absence of a B form.
Besides Mr Naidu, Mr Chouhan and Mr Tomar, BJP's state in-charge General Secretary Ananth Kumar, another General Secretary Thawarchand Gehlot and Organising Secretary Ramlal were also present.
