Badal distributes funds at Sangat Darshan
Ludhiana, Nov 16 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sanctioned grants of Rs 105.79 crore for various development projects including construction roads, water supply and sewerage projects, street lights, parks and community centers/dharmshalas for nine Municipal Wards at three 'Sangat Darshan' programmes in Ludhiana Rural Constituency.
Addressing a big gathering at Giaspura, Mr Badal said that government had already sanctioned an urban infrastructure development plan of Rs 5500 crore, under which all the basic amenities including sewerage, water supply, roads, street lights would be provided in all the cities of the state. He added that to ensure the planned urban development in the state, the government had decided to strictly check the mushrooming of unauthorised residential colonies in all the cities and informed that the directions in this regard has been issued to the concerned officers.
Mr Badal said that such programmes were very useful as these provided feed back about the implementation of development and welfare schemes. The people also come out with their grievances, he added.
