4,000 candidates appear for IIM CAT
Kozhikode, Nov 16 (UNI) As many as 4,000 candidates appeared for the Common Admission Test(CAT) for admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Management(IIM) at seven venues in the city today.
The test conducted for the IIM-Kozhikode under tight vigil at St Joseph College, Devagiri, Providence HSS, JDT Islamic Polytechnic, JDT Islamic HSS, Kendriya Vidhalaya No-1, and St Joseph Boys HSS, was smooth, Programme co-ordinator Prof P R Bhutt told UNI.
Apart from Kozhikode, the only centre in Kerala, IIM also held examinations at Chennai and Coimbatore simultaneously.
Altogether there were 2.8 lakh applicants for about 1,800 seats in seven IIM located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow and Shillong this year.
