2 killed in road accident in Rampur, UP

Jaunpur, Nov 16: At least two passengers were killed and seven injured after their jeep rammed into a road side tree in Rampur area here on Sunday, Nov 16.

The mishap occurred when the driver of the jeep accelerated the vehicle to overtake a car, wherein, he lost control over its wheels and dashed into the tree, police said.

Two people died on the spot, while seven people who were injured, have been admitted to hospital. Of them, three were stated to be critical.

The bodied had been sent for autopsy the police added.
