Agartala, Nov 15 (UNI) Flaying the Centre for its 'lackadaisical' attitude on Northeast's security and soaring inflation, the BJP today asserted that it will solve most issues if voted to power.

''A confused government in Delhi is responsible for Jihadi activities and militancy. The government shies away from taking action against illegal Bangladeshi migrants due to its vote-bank considerations,'' BJP chief Rajnath Singh told a rally at the Mizoram Bru(Reang tribal) refugees dominated Gachirampara School along the Tripura-Mizoram border.

''The government is undetermined and shying away from action against terror elements. Vote bank considerations stop them from identifying and deporting illegal Bangladeshi migrants,'' Mr Singh said.

The BJP leader rued that the Centre lacked a 'strong will' to put pressure on the Bangladesh government for preventing militants from the north east from using its territory as a haven.

''As a result, Pak-based ISI is training insurgents from the NE in Bangladesh, but the government has not yet taken up the issue with Dhaka,'' he said.

The government should keep aside its political considerations and sit with all stakeholders, including the Opposition, to evolve a national consensus on the issue, he commented.

''The BJP is committed to sorting out major problems, including ethnic issues and insurgency in the northeast if it comes to power,'' Mr Singh said.

He alleged that the Congress, along with some other regional parties and the Left Front in the region, had failed to understand the crucial issues and solve it.

He asserted that if the BJP-led NDA comes to power it would enhance Northeast Security Council of the Union home ministry.

''The security wing of Northeast affairs in the home ministry is not serious about combating militancy and Jihadi activities in the region,'' Mr Singh regretted.

On runaway prices, Mr Singh charged the Centre with lacking the political will to check it.

He lambasted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the UPA government for "favouring" crude oil and petroleum importing companies, ignoring the interest of the common man.

THe BJP chief also took the Centre to task for not solving the Mizoram Bru (Reang tribal) refugees issue.

He said the refugees, lodged in six camps in North Tripura for more than a decade, would be sent back home if his party came to power at the Centre.

''Once the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) comes to power after the parliamentary polls the Bru issue will get priority,'' he promised.

Betting big on the party's prospect in the poll-bound states, he said the BJP would open an account in Mizoram this time, while Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarth would remain with the party.
