Ten people apprehended for extorting money
Hyderabad, Nov 15 (UNI) Karimnagar Superintendent of Police has apprehended ten people for extorting money from businessmen and planting red party flags in the lands in Nimmapalli, Vattimalla and Kondapur village in Sircilla division, posing as CPI(ML) Janshakthi extremists while three others are absconding.
According to police, three persons -- Moorthy Srinivas Reddy, Ramesh and Malliala Rajesh had been indulging in illegal activities in the Sircilla division in the name of CPI(ML) Janshakthi extremist group.
Acting on a tip-off, a police party yesterday apprehended Malliala Poornachander, Malliala Madhukar and Darra Thirupathi. Based on the information given by Poornachander during interrogation, police nabbed three people on the outskirts of Marrimadla village.
Later, police nabbed four others at Mangalapalli village of Konaraopet mandal and seized party flags, banners, wall posters and ten soap bombs from their possession, a press release here said.
