State television award-2007 announced in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 15 (UNI) Former Kerala Transport Minister and noted actor K B Ganesh Kumar has been chosen as the best tele-serial actor for his role in ''Madhavan'', telecasted by Surya TV in the state television award-2007 announced here.
Announcing the awards yesterday, Kerala Education and Cultural Minister M A Baby said the best tele-serial award went in favour of ''Daya'', directed by Siji Surendran and telecasted by Kairali TV, while the best actress award went to Meera Vasudev, for her role in ''Kanalpoove'', also telecasted by Kairali TV.
Mr Baby said 15 telefilms, three tele-serials and five tele-series had come up before the jury for consideration in the story section.
Best tele-film award went to 'Typewriter', directed by Deepesh and best screen play writer to T Deepesh.
In the non-story category, the best award for documentary went to '16 mm: Memories, Movements and Machine', directed by K R Manoj, who also won the best Documentary Director Award.
The best news reader award went in favour of S Sarathchandran, while best compere award went to Mr R Sreekantan Nair. Mr John Birtas was selected for the best interviewer award.
