State level JD(U) convention from December 14

Patna, Nov 15 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister and senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar today said the three-day state level convention of the party would be held in Rajgir from December 14.

Mr Kumar told mediapersons here that strategies for the coming Lok Sabha election would be worked out during the convention and party workers would be imparted training for highlighting the achievements of the NDA government in an effective manner.

Asked about the likely political scenaraio before the coming Parliamentary election, the Chief Minister said allinace with the RJD was proving detrimental to the Congress.

'' RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has virtually finished the Congress party politically, '' Mr Kumar said adding it had lost its relevence in state politics.

'' If the Congress has to revive its past glory, it will have to stand on its own, '' Mr Kumar remarked.

With the resignation of all JD(U) MPs on Maharashtra issue, other political parties in Bihar had gone on backfoot and were now only trying to extract political mileage , he noted.
